Can I use my license to apply in other pilot jobs/field?

Obtaining a Commercial Pilot License already allows a pilot to start earning from the profession and build a career to get paid as a pilot. There are many Pilot Jobs for you to choose from, but as long as you have your CPL, you are legally able to work as a professional pilot. This means that it is very possible for you to switch to a different pilot job. However, you may be required to study additional courses or acquire additional certifications that are necessary for your new field.

Though all the jobs require a pilot such as yourself, each one still needs specific knowledge, skillset, and expertise. For example, an airline pilot might decide to become a flight instructor one day. Even though an airline pilot might have the technical skills and knowledge about being a pilot, he might lack the needed skills in terms of teaching this to students. In this case, the airline pilot will have to train again to be able to receive his Certified Flight Instructor Rating. Before you switch to a new field, we suggest you do some research first and get to know more about the role and requirements needed to join.
