Abyssinian Aviation Academy (also known as Abyssinian Flying School), started in 2007 and located in Addis Ababa, is an Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority (ECCA) approved flight school to train Ethiopian and International Pilots to FAA standards. Abyssinian Flying School serving as the first and only Private Pilot School in the country that provides Pilot Training, charter flights. Air ambulance, Aerial Survey, Aerial Photography and Filming.

Abyssinian Aviation Academy offers professional flight training and a range of ratings including:

  1. Private Pilot License
  2. Commercial Pilot License
  3. Multi- Engine Ratings
  4. Instrument Ratings
  5. Instructor Ratings

The flight school has experienced instructors, an inspiring flying environment, advanced training aircraft, and state-of-the-art Simulator. The training aircraft used are Diamond DA-40 and Cessna C-172 aircraft. Flight training is done at Bole and Jimma International Airport this allows trainee to benefit from learning in a busy environment including communication and operations among commercial airline traffic.

Abyssinian Aviation Academy has trained international students from countries such as Portugal, Italy, England, Spain, India, Yemen, Gabon, Rwanda, Brundi and Sudan.
