Air Gisborne is a locally owned and operated Air Charter and Flight Training company which also provides scenic flights/aerial photography flights/survey flights and Air Ambulance. The company has more than 40 years of aviation tradition in New Zealand.

Air Gisborne employs 4 pilots (2 instructors). John Reid is the Chief Pilot and an "A" Cat Instructor with over 30,000 hours. The pilot training courses it offers include Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Rating and Flight Instructor Rating. The school’s highest priority is to provide a safe flying environment to all its pilots. The training is conducted with Air Gisborne's fleet which includes one King Air C90 Turboprop, Piper PA-31 Navajo Turboprop, Piper PA-34, Cessna 172 and two Grumman AA5’s.

Head offices are located at Gisborne Airport which has one night flying authorized runway and 3 grass runways suitable for training aircraft. Gisborne Airport is 1 hour flight time from Auckland.
