Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy India provides world class integrated flying and ground training to aspiring students, enabling them to obtain the Private Pilot’s Licence (Aeroplane) - PPL, Commercial Pilot’s Licence (Aeroplane) - CPL, Multi-Engine Rating, Instrument Rating, Assistant Flying Instructors Ratings and Flying Instructors Rating. The Academy is located on the GMR Campus, half a kilometer from the Ultra-Modern Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad.

Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy's flight training is provided on state of the art Diamond DA - 40D, single engine piston and Diamond DA - 42, twin-engine piston, glass cockpit aircraft.  Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy India has a team of highly experienced flight and ground instructors. The training infrastructure is of highest standards. A team of skilled maintenance personnel will ensure that students have the safest environment for their flight training.

Detail on the Private Pilot License course offered by Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy:

  • PPL is the basic licence required to take up flying as a recreation or private sport. PPL allows its holder the privileges of flying as Captain or co-pilot of an aircraft not for the purpose of public transport or aerial work.
  • Entry Requirements
    • Minimum age of seventeen (17) years
    • Passed Class Ten or equivalent examination from a recognized board
    • Class 2 Medical Assessment. Class 2 Medical Exam Centers
    • Adequate competency in the English language.
  • Flying Syllabus
    • Minimum 40 hours on Single Engine Piston Diamond DA40D aircraft, leading to the award of a Private Pilots License
    • Ground Lectures: 110 hours
    • Course Fee: approximately INR 6.5 Lakhs (Government taxes, accommodation, food and transport will be extra)
  • Flight Training will consist of 40 hours of flying on Diamond DA 40D aircraft and will be conducted in two phases.

 

Detail on the Commercial Pilot License course offered by Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy:

  • The Commercial Pilots Licence is the minimum requirement for flying commercial aircraft.
  • Entry Requirements
    • Minimum age of seventeen years (17) years on date of joining the course.
    • Successful completion of Class 10 + 2 with Mathematics and Physics OR its equivalent for overseas Student pilots. Candidates awaiting results may also apply and would be selected subject to clearing the 10 + 2 examinations.
    • Pass medical examination (Class I) from a DGCA approved medical centre.
    • Adequate competency in the English language.
  • Flight Training - A CPL with a Multi-Engine Rating(MER) and Instrument Rating (IR) is the basic requirement to fly as an airline pilot. Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy provides CPL along with an Instrument Rating on a combination of single and multi-engine aircraft.
  • Flying Syllabus
    • 185 hours of flying on Single Engine Piston Diamond DA 40 D Aircraft
    • 15 hours on Twin Engine Diamond DA 42 Aircraft
    • Theoretical Knowledge Training
    • Ground Lectures : DGCA Requirement - Minimum 350 hours.
    • Asia Pacific Flight Training Academy conducts 952 hours of Ground Lectures for Theoretical Knowledge Training - 450 hours of class room training and 502 hours of supervised learning and Computer Based Training (CBT). Theoretical knowledge training covers requirements up to the Airline Transport Pilots’ Licence level.
  • Syllabus
    • The course will be conducted as per the requirement given in Civil Aviation Requirement Section 7 – Flight Crew Standards Training and Licensing, Series ‘B’, Part IV.
    • Note For candidates undergoing the integrated course, Theoretical knowledge training imparted at Asia Pacific Flight Training will cover knowledge up to the Airline Transport Pilots’ Licence level.
  • Ground examinations - written examinations in the following subjects will be conducted by DGCA:
    • Air Regulations,
    • Air Navigation(including Radio Aids and Instruments),
    • Aviation Meteorology,
    • Technical General
    • Technical Specific
    • Radio Telephony (by WPC)
  • Course Duration: approximately 18 months
  • Course Fee: approximately INR 34.5 Lakhs (this includes Flying Training, Simulator Training, Theoretical Knowledge Training, Hostel facility and Transport charges)
