ATIS Aviation Academy was established in 2010 in Mohandessin, and the first private aviation training organization in Egypt. It is an Egyptian joint subsidiary of the General Authority for Investment.
It is registered in South Africa for the purpose of training in various fields of civil aviation. In 2012, it earned its accreditation from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of America and was, then, appointed as a representative of the Aviation Education School in California. In 2013, it was approved by the Internal Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In 2014, it acquired the accredited ICAO in South Africa. It is through this acquisition that ATIS Aviation Academy became the first flight school owned by Egyptians in South Africa.

ATIS Aviation Academy has an aircraft fleet composed of Cessna 172, Piper Cherokee, Piper Aztec.
It has an excellent training aircraft fleet and set of instructors with the high level of experience. Any aspiring pilot can choose a program in South Africa which includes International program, Gulf Program, India and Far East Program, and the EASA Greec.
In terms of residential accommodation and transport, they offer a well-built private complex that is fully-furnished, and conducive for the students. Moreover, there are restaurants inside, and transportation is available from the school complex to the residential compound or vice versa.
The pilot school is excellent in providing ab initio training to aspiring pilots.
