Cheongju University is a private university located in Cheongju City, the capital of North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. The roots of Cheongju University have begun since 1924 as Daesung Academic Foundation. In 1946 Cheongju acquired the accrediatation to be an Academic College, and in 1951 became a university. Cheongju University rich history makes this pilot training center as one of the most professional and respected pilot training centers in South Korea.

Today besides the different areas of student education that it offers, it offers an educational program in the field of aviation. There are two aviation departments: one department covers a pilot training program, and the other is the department of aeronautical technical engineer training.

The Cheongju University Pilot Training school has a fleet of 8 ultra-modern aircraft of the type Diamond DA40 for the training of aviation personnel and one simulator type Diamond DA40.
