Chiang Mai Flying Club, founded in 1998 by a group of dedicated enthusiasts the Club has grown to attract over 250 members. The club owns a Cessna 152 and a Cessna 150, 2 seat training aircraft. In addition there are currently three more four seater aircraft, including a Piper Arrow and 2 C172's. These are privately owned but are available for hire by suitably qualified club members.

Chiang Mai Flying Club operates from its own airfield just to the south of Lamphun (1 hour flight from Bangkok). Lamphun Airfield (VTCO) is located inside the area of the Saha Industrial Park. This airfield was designed to meet ICAO recommendations and is approved by the DOA.

Chiang Mai Flying Club offers a full time training Thai Private Pilot License course (40 hours of flight training). The Thai Department of Aviation PPL examinations are held every three months.
