Darling Downs Aero Club (DDAC), located in Toowoomba Queensland, has provided professional pilot training since 1946, training thousands of recreational and commercial pilots. The Club has built a reputation based on practical flying training, empathy and flexibility, focusing on the individual needs. Darling Downs Aero Club is not simply a flying school, it is also a not for profit club. Members are part of an aviation community and enjoy a number of social events including monthly BBQ lunch and flying competitions. Student pilots are welcome to participate in these club fun days, as they will be flying with one of their friendly instructors. Typical fun days include streamer cutting, flour bombing and spot landing competitions. The 'Touch and Go Bar' is open every Friday night, giving members the opportunity to socialise and talk about their latest flying adventure while watching the sun set over the airport. Darling Downs Aero Club also holds regular evening BBQs followed by a night flying experience, and passenger seats are often available for friends and family wishing to see the lights of Toowoomba from the air.

The Darling Downs Aero Club follows the Civil Aviation Safety Authority's progressive and competency based training syllabus. Lessons commence with the basics of flying, such as flying straight and level, climbing, descending and turning. More advanced manoeuvres are only introduced after the basics have been mastered. The Darling Downs Aero Club is open 7 days a week. Their fleet consist of: PA-38, PA-28,C172 and C182.
