Etihad Aviation Training (formerly known as Etihad Flight College), part of Etihad Aviation Group, is a world-class Pilot Training Group offering pilot training services from initial Ab-initio Pilot Training to Flight Crew Training Devices for recurrency training and other simulator training requirements of third parties. There are two main locations:

  • Simulator Center - the simulator center is located next to the Etihad Airways Headquarters which are ten minute drive away from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The Simulator Center has 11 Full Flight Simulators and a number of Fixed Training Devices (FTD) and Flight Navigation Procedures Training (FNPT II) Simulators. All Simulators are UAE GCAA and European EASA certified. In 2019 Etihad Aviation Training also got certified as an EASA Approved Training Organisation covering the Airbus A320, A330 and A340 Simulator Training.

 

  • Flight Training Operation Base - located in Al Ain approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport this location is used for the Ab-initio (ATPL) Pilot Training Course and Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) Flight Training Programs. The training is done on ‘advanced display technology’ Cessna 172 Skyhawks, followed by Diamond DA42 for multi-engine training and finally introduction to jet flying through the fleet of Embraer 100 jet trainers.

From ab-initio Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) and Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) training to a type rating courses even on the AirbusA380 Etihad Aviation Training covers the whole training spectrum.
