High School Diploma
Flight and Simulator Training Academy, now known as FAST Aviation Academy, was established in 1992 and started flight training with two Cessna aircraft, a Cessna 150 and Cessna 152 and an ATC710 fixed base trainer-simulator for Instrument flight training. Since then it has grown to a 15 aircraft fleet. FAST Aviation Academy is based at the RPMCI Hangar in the Manila Domestic Airport Complex.

Since the first class in 1992, more than 1000 students have enrolled in the various courses, Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Flight Instructor course of Multi-Engine Rating.
FAST Aviation Academy, operates two schools - the flight school offering flight training courses and the recently established Maintenance School offering aircraft maintenance technician courses.
The aircraft maintenance technician school offers two-year aircraft maintenance course in Bacalod and Iloilo City. The Maintenance School features modern tools & laboratory facilities, air-conditioned classrooms, wifi-enabled campus and systematic classroom and hands-on learning experience.
FAST Aviation Academy aircraft maintenance programs are approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and provide students with the technical, mechanical and academic skills needed to become an Aviation Maintenance Technician and/or Aviation Maintenance Specialist.
The two courses on offer are:
- Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT)
Aircraft Maintenance is the maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection or modification of an aircraft or aircraft component.
The Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) course provides students with the knowledge and skills in the field of aircraft maintenance.
Designed to prepare the students for the highly technical field of aircraft maintenance, the program provides them the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to maintain, inspect, repair and construct aircraft structures and maintain, inspect, repair and operate systems and power plants of aircraft and other aerospace vehicles.
FAST Aviation Academy Graduates of this course can take entry-level jobs in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft which includes among others the servicing, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of airframe, systems and powerplants.
Aircraft Maintenance Technicians can also take aircrew positions such as flight engineer, flight mechanic & loadmaster.
Note: AMT graduates who completed their OJT requirements can take the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) licensure examination which grants successful examinees an Aviation Maintenance Technician license with ratings in Airframe & Powerplant.
- Aviation Electronics Technology (AVT)
Aviation Electronics (or Avionics) are the electronic systems used on aircraft and spacecraft. Avionics include electronic systems used for the control, monitoring, identification and navigation of aircraft.
The Aviation Electronics Technology (AVT) course is a specialized program in electronics and communications covering aircraft electronics. The program provides students with the knowledge and skills in the field of aircraft electronics maintenance, repair and overhaul.
Designed to prepare the students for the highly technical field of aviation electronics maintenance, the program provides them the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to install, test, operate, calibrate and repair electronic equipment on aircraft. These equipment typically includes radar, navigational, communications and engine & flight instruments.
Graduates of this course can take entry-level jobs in the operation and maintenance of aircraft electronic equipment which includes among others the servicing, installation, testing, maintenance, operation, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of aircraft radar, navigational, communications and engine & flight instruments.
Note: AVT graduates who completed their OJT requirements can take the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) licensure examination which grants successful examinees an Aviation Maintenance Specialist license with an Electronics rating.
Aside from Filipino students, FAST Aviation Academy also caters to foreign students from Australia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Guyana, Indonesia, India, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Libya, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Senegal, Syria, Tanzania, UAE, Vanuatu & Yemen.
