Georgian Aviation University (GAV)was established in 1992 in the structure of Georgian Technical University. In 2005, the flight school separated from the Georgian Technical University and received accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Sciences of Georgia and now operating as an independent institution. It is located in Tbilisi, Georgia and is the only aviation institute in the region.
