Hanseo University, located in Seosan, Taean and Namsan, is one of the newest private universities in South Korea. It started work in 1992 as a modern university offering courses in liberal arts, engineering and design disciples. Since it's start it has developed into a big competitor to the already existing state and private University and in 2001 established its aviation school followed by its pilot flight training school in 2005. The Flight School is located at the Universities Taean Airfield and is accredited to provide training for Private Pilot License and Commercial Pilot licenses. If you are looking to become a Pilot in South Korea then this is one of the best destinations to do our Pilot training as it has become the biggest Pilot Training Organization and is also known as Standard of Flight Training in Korea (or Flight Education Center of Hanseo University).

The history of the Hanseo University Flight School is as follows: in 2001, Hanseo University under the Department of Aeronautical Sciences opened its training center, which at the very start, attracted great interest due to the modern and new aircraft that it acquired, but also the range of programs offered. In addition to training from 0 to ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) for pilots on aircraft and helicopters, the university also offers courses in Aviation English, Airport Public Relations, Airport Administration, Airport Architecture, Aeronautical Chemical Engineering, Aeronautical Computer and Electric Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance studies, and a few more. In March 2010 the Flight Education Center was elected in the Uljin Flight Training Project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea to partially sponsore the training budgets. The program also led to the Pilot School establishing its 2nd Flight Training branch at Uljin Airport in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The Hanseo University Flight Training School located at the Hanseo University Taean Airport has an impressive large fleet comprised of various types of aircraft such as Cessna 172, Piper PA-34 Seneca, Piper PA44 Seminole, King Air, Citation, Beech 1900 and other fixed-wing airplanes. In addition the Pilot School has a fleet of Helicopters (rotary wing) consisting Robinson R22, Robinson R44, Bell 412.

The Hanseo University simulator training is conducted on Cessna 172 Flight Training Device Simulator, Cessna 172 G100 Flight Training Device Simulator, FMS Simulator, and Boeing 737  Simulator.
