It was also the first to introduce the ALSIM FNPT II Simulator featuring the GARMIN G-1000 Glass Cockpit in South East Asia, which tremendously improved the quality of training and transition to type training with airlines. With its proven track record, HMA was selected by Malaysia Airlines (MAS) as one of its preferred training centre for its cadet pilots.
To date HM Aerospace has proudly trained nearly 1300 commercial pilots who have successfully been placed into local airlines like Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, Malindo Air, Firefly, MASwings and other airlines in South East Asia and Middle East like Singapore Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Wings Air (Lion Air), Eva Air, Korean Airlines, China Airlines, various airlines in Myanmar, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Saudi Airlines, Qatar Airways and Pakistan Airlines, to name a few.

A top destination for both local and international tourists, the island of Langkawi is well known for its all-the-year sunny weather an ideal location for HMA. The serene and peaceful environment here makes it conducive for the cadet pilots to enjoy the location whilst pursuing training at their centre. With its rich culture and history, Langkawi is also open to exploration by the cadets for their recreational interests.

All our courses are approved by the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements. The Licence examinations are conducted by the Malaysian DCA and United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority International (UK CAAI).
Courses cater for, cadets who are sponsored by commercial airline companies, private cadets fresh out of secondary school, overseas cadet's as well as adults who meet the qualifying requirements. the course duration ranges three (3) to eighteen (18) months. Currently HMA offers Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Frozen ATPL and Flight Instructor rating courses.
