Primary base of Kapiti Aero Klub is Kapiti Coast Airport earlier called Paraparaumu Airport. Positioned on Kapiti Coast of New Zealand’s North Island, between the Wellington dormitory suburbs of Paraparaumu Beach (to the west and north), Paraparaumu to the east, and Raumati Beach to the south.

Its location offers an ideal training environment, as they do not experience the delays encountered at major airports due to large aircraft arriving and departing, but practice within a busy traffic environment is possible due to the short flight times from Paraparaumu to Wellington, Palmerston North or Nelson.

Moreover, the Kapiti Aero Club offers Helicopter training.
