Delta Air International Aviation Academy was started in 2001 by a group of young, idealistic pilots who anticipated a growing demand for quality aviation training at a reasonable fee. Backed by a pool of competent senior pilots serving as flight instructors, the school grew to training both Filipino and international students (from India, Pakistan, United States and numerous other countries). In June 2011, AMA Education System (AMAES), through AMA Properties Management Inc., took over the assets and management of Delta Air International Aviation Academy. For the Chairman of AMAES, Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V, this was the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. AMAES is a leader in the field of education having an annual student population of 150,000 in more than 200 campuses in the Philippines and other parts of the world.

Today, Delta Air International Aviation Academy offers both pilot flight training courses and aircraft maintenance engineering courses. For pilot training it offers: Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Crew Resource Management, Flight Instructor License, and Multi-Engine Rating. For aircraft maintenance courses Delta Air International Aviation Academy offers two 2 year course: Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Aviation Electronics Technology.

The flight training is being completed at Delta Air International Aviation Academy's own modern 525 sq. meter hangar at Plaridel Airport, Bulacan which is just an hour away from Manila International Airport and on the outskirts of the Capital of the Philippines (the airport is used by numerous Pilot Training Schools).

Delta Air International Aviation Academy currently does not own a full flight simulator so the type rating is done by another training organisation or an airline.
