New Zealand Aviation is a flight school located between Hamilton and Tauranga training domestic and international students. Primary base of New Zealand Aviation is Matamata airfield which is small public airfield with unpaved runway perfect for new students. Currently, New Zealand Aviation is providing Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, Flight Instructor, Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating courses. New Zealand Aviation is equipped with 3 Cessna 172’s, C152, DA42, Victa Airtourer and a TP100 flight simulator. The school is focussed on small class sizes to offer a low student to instructor ratio.

New Zealand Aviation is situated at the Matamata Airfield, in the Waikato farmlands. The area is a rural community of about 6000 people, nestled at the base of the Kaimai ranges. The updrafts from these hills make this area and its surrounds a world-class location for flying, gliding and other activities. City attractions are close with Auckland just 90 minutes away and Hamilton a short 40 minute drive.
