From its training location in Slovenia, SAA Aeronautical Academy teaches EASA approved Pilot Training Programs which are high standards in line with airline requirements and the pilot training duration of the course is 16 months including Airbus A320 Type Rating. This short duration is achieved through excellent Mediterranean weather with over 300 flight training days per year in Slovenia. All of SAA Aeronautical Academy management and Flight Instructors are active Airline Pilots with thousands of hours of airline experience. The Head of Training and Chief Flight Instructor are active Airline Pilots (including Airline Instructor, Check Airman and Examiners on the Airbus A320/A330 aircraft). The Academy has a structure similar to that of an airline with set published Flight Schedules, 24 hour dispatch service, crew transportation, meals and mandatory Uniform.

SAA Aeronautical Academy only accepts students twice per year as only limited training positions are available (maximum of 40 students per year). The limited student number is due to the placement position with airline partners through line training agreements. SAA Aeronautical Academy accepts International Students and provides English Language assistance if required.
