Sabah Flying Club was established at Kota Kinabalu International Airport in 1964. The club has 2 Cessna 172's to train people to obtain their Private Pilot License. Sabah Flying Club location is approximately 2.5 hours flight time away from Kuala Lumpur (a coastal city surrounded by rainforest and is known for its bustling markets, modern boardwalk, beaches, waterfront Kota Kinabalu City Mosque and it is a gateway to Kinabalu National Park, the home of the 4,095m high Mount Kinabalu).
Sabah Flying Club currently does not own a full flight simulator so the type rating is done by another training organisation or an airline.
