There are two ways to become a SalamAir Pilot; one is a direct application to SalamAir (this is mostly done by experienced pilots) and another is through the SalamAir Cadet Pilot Program.
Apply as a licensed pilot directly to SalamAir
As long as you hold a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or an Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), you may apply as a First Officer to SalamAir provided that you meet all the minimum requirements including the minimum number of required flight hours experience.

Join SalamAir Cadet Pilot Program
SalamAir posted on its careers page, on September 8, the opening of its Cadet Pilot Program.
Salam Air ab-initio training program is designed to qualify a CPL pilot having zero flight hours to fly A320 aircraft. The training program is structured in way that ensures that such pilots are effectively trained to attain A320 type-rating. The training will be conducted in accordance with an approved training manual.
The applicant shall meet the following qualification requirements in order to enter the ab-initio training program
Requirements
- Frozen ATPL
- 200 hours flying on aircraft
- Class 1 medical
- High school certificate
- IELTS level 5.0
- ELP level 4
- Age 35 years or less
- All documents must be valid for at least 6 months on the date of joining
