What jobs can I have after getting a commercial pilot license (CPL)?
There are a lot of jobs that you can go for after getting your Commercial Pilot License.
You can pursue the following career paths if you hold a CPL:
- Airline Pilot
- Cargo Pilot
- Charter/Air Taxi Pilot
- Corporate or Business Aviation Pilot
- Flight Instructor
- Agricultural Pilot
- Medical/Air Ambulance Pilot
Take note that to become an Airline Pilot, a CPL holder must still undergo additional training for Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and do extensive hours building to meet the minimum 1500 flight hours required by airlines.
To work as a Flight Instructor, a CPL holder must also undergo an additional training course called Certified Flight Instructor Rating to be eligible to train and instruct student pilots and work as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI).
