How long does pilot training take?
Being a Pilot is one of the most amazing jobs in the world. But before you become one, it will take a lot of time and dedication on your part. It usually takes around 12-18 months to go from zero up to receiving your Commercial Pilot License (CPL). It could take a little less or a little more, depending on various factors. Some of the factors that could influence training time include:
- Type of license you want to have
- Your personal learning pace
- Flight Instructor-Student ratio of the school
- Availability of aircraft
- Weather conditions
- Air Traffic
- Training structure you will choose (ex: modular/flexible vs. integrated/continuous training)
